Hey guys, I've been hunting online, mainly mcmaster, for fittings for my planned hybrid. I've noticed alot of them indicate they are used for sch. 160 nipples; can the same fittings still be used on sch. 40 pipe, such as that used for a barrel?

As long as the thread size is the same, then yes

Yes, but the 3000 PSI rating will not hold for the pipe. I believe 2" sch 40 bursts at around 3000 PSI, and has been tested to 20x by someone.

Buy at least sch 80 if you want the full 3000 PSI RATED pressure.

Steel, I presume. I'm fairly confident that I'll be good, considering I don't plan going past 15x, using Sch. 40 steel...
Thanks guys! :D

Yes. PVC is a big no-no. There are less painful ways to commit suicide.
