My "barrel extension" makes alot of a difference. It takes the loud sharp noise and makes it sound like your hitting a pillow agianst a wall. I found your poll very interesting. Another thing i find very interesting is that almost all the armies in the world attach these things to the ends of their guns called silencers to make their guns quieter. Maybe its a conspiracy? . Or maybe they do make guns quieter. Not to make fun of you but that was question with a very obvious answer. You should make a "barrel extension" there cool 8) .

"barrel extensions" are worth your time to build them.

Well it appears you live in Australia, so supressors may not be illegal down there.

But please note to all, that building a supressor that can be attached to a real firearm and lower the report by 2db, it's illegal to own in the US unless you have a permit for it.

the URL is http://www.police.nsw.gov.au/__data/ass ... Permit.pdf

Wow, they actually mentioned a PVC cannon. Although you aren't launching a bomb, grenade, rocket, or missile. Still, be careful!

that would only cover combustion guns because it deals with explosives, therefore pneumatics should be fine

not if its mad out of PVC, if I were a cop I'd still bust your ass for a pneumatic cuz they can be more powerful than combustions anyways.

In the UK we're only allowed certain types of firearm and you have to have a decent reason to own one. However, I don't think that there are any restrictions on owning a silencer. I guess the government thinks that if we can't have guns, there's no point in banning silencers.

However, you need a firearms certificate to possess an air rifle with a muzzle energy of over 12 foot-pounds (16 joules I think). This probably makes my air cannon illegal :(

I believe that there was a book called Hitman by Paladin Press that had details on building a PVC silencer.

EDIT: I found the book :)
