all you need is some masking tape and some flammable liquid cement (i used duco from wal-mart) now get some masking tape 2Xs the size you want your fuse to be and put it sticky side down on a clean flat surface . now put a line of cement down it(the more you put the faster it will burn).now just twist it up and cut it to the size you want it. and vwoilla you have a slow burning fuse....bye bye....monkeyfreakster ps.please tell me how it worked for you as i am curious about it

do you honestly expect us to make a fuse fo an explosive device via the instructions of an ameture that probably pulled some idea out of his ass last night and hasent even tested it? it wouldn't work anyway because there is no oxidizer in the flammable cement. nice try though

what the heck? why dont you just try it on a fire cracker or something first just to see if it works it is so simple im not a beginner but i just found this site ....dont be so negative without even trying it first and if it dosent work you can be negative geez

please explain to me why you would use a fuse on a spud gun

it is just a suggestion but you could use the fuse for a delay so you could be farther away for safety but you could make it into a airsoft mine

Sounds more expensive than actual canon fuse.

you know that spud guns dont blow up unless you put one together wrong, the pipe is rated for more than 150 psi and your average combustion cannon only generates about 60 psi, there safe why would you need time to run

who uses fuse for cannons anyway?

actually it only cost $2 for over 30 feet of fuse and you do not only have to use it for cannons

No one said anything about using it for cannons he's talking about using it for fireworks but that wouldn't work anyways. Just use potassium nitrate.

try it but if youthink about it pottassium nitrate is practicly illeagle and extremely explosive and expensive and rare.

Potassium is in no way "explosive", its and oxidizer. Its not expensive or rare either. I guess it depends on where you live though but in America its neither of those.

its not explosive its an oxidizer moron but you can use it for fuse. Stop posting dumb crap.

KNO3 is available OTC. I can buy it at like 3 or 4 places off the top of my head, that are within 10 minutes from my house.
I've made some cheap fuse from KNO3, sucrose and string that would easily beat your half-arse fuse.
And if you have a credit card or a paypal account, you can buy Visco fuse off the internet. They don't even ask what it's for or require and ID. And commercially made fuse like this would be much more reliable, and burn at a more steady rate.

If you want a safer way to set off a spud gun (even though it's not necessary), you could always just use electronic ignitors or hook a stun gun up to a 50ft roll of speaker wire.

i thought you said that you didn't make it and wanted someone else to try it out. why dont you go take an explosives course when you turn 18 and then come back when you actually know what you are talking about
