Thank you to all who competed. The idea of this contest was to generate new ideas for the spudding community to work with and that has definitely been accomplished here.

Voting is now over. The information below this line may now be irreverent and/or outdated.

This is the FINAL VOTING for the SpudFiles Official Cannon Contest! All first round results can be seen in the other stickies in this section.
The first place winner of this round will receive a $100 cash prize!. The second place winner gets a $25 cash prize.
Since there was a tie in the BB/Airsoft/Paintball section, the easiest and quickest way to resolve it is to just enter both cannons that tied into the final round.
Remember why you are voting. This contest is for overall design and ingenuity of a cannon built for a specific category. I wanted people to come up with new ideas, either totally new designs or new unique/refined methods of completing common tasks such as propane metering for a combustion cannon. Do NOT vote on which cannon has the best paint job, you should be voting for their concept and design being new and innovative, not just a nice looking but boring old combustion!
THIS POLL WILL BE OPEN FOR 7 DAYS STARTING NOW!

I certainly is hard to narrow it down, isn't it? I spent a good time thinking. but I think I choose the most inventive and new system of the lot. Anyway, may the best man win!

Well, I have to say it took me a little thinking to decide what to vote for. Had to re-read what PCGUY said and look at it from that way. I had to struggle hard between Sgort's Blue Flame III, (because of the innovative metering system, which I am actually applying the concept onto my nexter hybrid), Clides GB Semi, because of the mechanical firing system, and Fnord's hybrid, because he's the first one ever to stop speculating and designing hybrid piston-based firing systems and just build one, (which I am using a slightly modified version of on my nexter hybrid as well.
Eventually, though, I voted for Fnord's hybrid. I'm sorry Gort and Clide, but I had to give him props on originality, the simple no-excess construction of the cannon, and the actual testing of a controversial concept which will eventually lead to many others in it's footsteps, (yes, including mine). He reminds me a lot of myself when I first started off more than a year ago, absolutely no money but full of ideas. Now I've got plenty of money from working, but no ideas. I'd like to be able to come up with something, but it'll probably have to wait until next school year, when I quit my job, (kickass!). Until then I'm putting in seventeen hour days between school and work. Hell, I might come back a little over the summer, when all I have to worry about it work.

I agree, the rest, including mine, are pretty bland and common technologies compared to theirs'. I still voted for mine though
I wish I had a better signature...

I agree, 'fisk was the first to make a piston-valved hybrid.
