Not much. Slingshots have invaded, there's been a few nice guns, a heap of ghetto ones... a lot of (stupid) questions, talk about lube and moar.

Overall i think the intelligence level on spudfiles has dropped right through the floor since i left, amazing how mych you notice the difference when you are gone and suddenly start reading after about a year.

I have more members that thinks the same thing also, thought i just say it now.

I'd be more inclined to say the education level, moreso than intelligence, but what do I know, I've only been here 11months....

Since 10th of Jan '09 is 11 months? Lurking I suppose?

I'm going to have to agree, it's dropped a lot while I've been here.

I've been working with engines and whatnot lately too. My most recent project is a racing lawn mower. I'll post a topic about it when it's finished if that's okay with the mods.

What kind of business are you starting?

I've been gone for a while. Can't really enjoy spudding much anymore, and I've got an abandoned project sitting in my computer room.

Just too much work (also too much play... I just got back from Corpus Christi) and school... and too little money.

BTW, potatoflinger, you've upgraded from a Gen 3 Ranger to a Gen 4? I love Rangers to death, but I can't find a good one for sale anywhere near here.

No, I've only had a gen 4. It's an '03 EDGE. I love it. I have some pretty big plans for it, but not much money to spend on it.

Hmm... I thought I remembered seeing a Gen 3 signature...

Put a Windsor small-block V8 in it. Something I've always wanted to do, and they DO make adapters for such a swap. TRS has a project truck where this is done.

That is my dream. A built 302 would be lovely. You hang out on TRS too?

I'm of the opinion that the intelligence level isn't that bad.

We've got a couple of people who say silly things occasionally, but that doesn't mean the intelligence level has bombed.
To say that it's dropped right through the floor is completely disregarding the fact we still have a lot of very intelligent regulars and veterans.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

The overall "intelligence level" as some of you call it is always changing, just depends if there are more active newer members vs seasoned members during that time period. People come and go from spudding all of the time, it's a part of this game I have learned from being around for so long 8)

Compared to some of the other forums that I am addicted to, the intelligence level on spudfiles seems to be rather high. Every forum has it's share of new users that make stupid posts (I certainly was one of those on here when I started out), but the moderators keep everyone on track for the most part.
