Search here, sucks.

Sad, but true,

If you search for something, you get 42 thousand results, and after spending three hours poring through those results, you realize there is absolutely nothing in those results that has anything to do with what you searched for !!!

So... Instead of continuing to complain, let me present a better alternative.

Google.

Or, more technically, google site search.

Go to google and paste this into the search box:
site:www.spudfiles.com
Then hit space.
Then enter your search terms. (Using the normal google rules for searches.)

This will search only spudfiles.com. And will give you results like google does.

IOW: If you search "Hammer valve", you will get results for ONLY "Hammer valve".

You will not get 41 thousand posts which will have either one or the other or both of the words.

If that isn't simple enough, just follow this link:
https://www.google.com/search?sclient=p ... gle+Search
Then hit the space bar, enter your search terms, then hit search.

And if you only want to see pics of hammer valves... After the search is finished, then click on "images".

BTW: The search "hammer valve", using the site search function, comes up with "Search found 41333 matches". I pored through many pages of those results and found nothing worthwhile. I am not going to spend half of the rest of my life looking through the rest of the results in the hopes I'll find just a few results that mean something.

The google site search came up with only 1,560 results. And right from the first one, they are actually talking about hammer valves...

Gee, that's odd... When I searched hammer AND valve in the pneumatic cannon discussion forum, I got this, all of which appears to be quite relevant.

Perhaps you're doing something silly, like searching hammer OR valve in all forums?

EDIT: looks like you can't link directly to search results...

POOF. A great spirit appears in a puff of smoke. I grant the 3 searches....
:D

give Selador a break, he's frustrated and fed up but at least he showed some initiative by attempting to rectify the problem. I guess because the search is terrible unless used URL PROPERLY he didn't bother to search about searching.

HEY !! Search here, doesn't suck, after all !!

'Tis true. I didn't bother to search about searching.

Looks like the search function CAN be made useful. And now that I have been chastized, I remember using it that way, in another lifetime, here.

Kinda sucks to be learning all over again.

Thank you to all. :D Seriously.

And thank you kydavies, for understanding that one doesn't have to ridicule, to correct someone.

The search here can be useful. And I will use it that way, from now on. But the google site search is a good addition to that. Especially to those who are used to using Google type of search, and haven't figured out the very different way that this site's search, works.

Just sign me... Newby all over again. (Hey, being a newby all over again, is great when it comes to watching movies for the first time again. LOL)

I tried to use your method to see where the link to one of my vids is located at the patator forum ( French)

Youtube indicates I get a lot of hits from them and several of my vids are embedded there.

the google sitesearch can;t find anything...no matter what terms I use...

I'd like to see the responses ofcourse...
