Hello everyone, i finally have finished my TDS-960 (terminator dart sniper-960). This is way more powerful than i expected it to be at 100 psi and only half of the barrel!! Right now i am limitted to basement shooting but this weekend i am going to my dads and i will make some pimp ass vids. I need some ideas on what to shoot. Ands yes i need stronger darts...after the go about halfway through a peice of wood it creates alot of kinetic energy and causes the darts to bend..
Specs-
1. 3/4 Detrol QEV (Valve)
2. 72" 2 peice terminator blowgun (barrel)
3. Modified high flow blowgun (pilot)
4. 3"x11" fire extinguisher (chamber)
i do not know the speed (fps) of the darts because i do not know how much they weigh...
as i said i am limmitted to my basement for now and i can only use half of my barrel...

Dude! That's scary! Looks like something from a horror movie! I take it you're using target darts? About how accurate is it? Great job!
Edit: Oh yeah, got any theory as to why the darts to that bendy thing?

In that image 1063, is the dart what left that big dent there too? If so then that thing is crazy powerful. I wanna see you shoot a watermelon with it. Can you take the wire out of those darts and replace it with something else? if so you could use drywall nails or soemthing like that.

they are thin as hell
yea i was thinking about that..or ill just make some home made darts from nails...Can you take the wire out of those darts and replace it with something else?
really accurate....About how accurate is it?

Well, the initial kinetic energy allows the dart to pierce through the material, whatever it may be, but after a certain point, there will no longer be enough kinetic energy for it to continue on its' path through the target. When it comes to that point, the kinetic enery of the back end tries to push the dart forward futilely, this causes the dart to bend.spudthug wrote:yes paaiyan it made that dent to.

Very cool gun
I was thinking it might be cool to make a smaller/more portable copper or steel gun, but how do you get long sections of pipe for the barrel or chamber to be threaded? I don't have welding materials, so that isn't an option, and soldering? thats cheep but not strong enough I think...

If it's a .40 caliber blowgun (Mine is) then you can use thumbtacks. They don't provide a perfect seal, but you can probably modd them to better fit the barrel. I don't mod mine, and they still work in my blowgun with only a slightly shorter range.

So its finally here... good..wait, great work. It looks much better than I anticipated it to be, and its performance looks outstanding.
Well done on a job well done!
Imagine it somehow semi-auto.....

to make this semi auto would be hard.....fully auto would be easy though. except for getting the darts to load..maybe a spring fed banana clip? to make it fully auto just hook up a 100 psi pop off valve and get a regulator and either a big tank or a c02 tank. just set the reg to 110 psi and keep it flowing. someone made a semi auto marble rifle..i cant remember whop but he is still around
