Did you actually teat through the pages? Or did you just rip it down the spine?

Lol, that would've been funny to watch. But I don't see how thats possible without weakening the book in some way.

I did it in one sitting without letting go of the book once, only wiggling my fingers occasionally. The phone book was new and not weakened in any way.

I haven't ripped a phone book in half, but I have ripped a Cabelas magazine in half before, I learned how on www.instructables.com

I can rip one down the spine. It isn't hard, you just have to have huge hands to apply the pressure in the right spot.
