I think I'll just play it safe and use a Hacksaw.
You are just talking about two pieces of string just average ones are you?

he means you tie a string to two sticks(the handles) and you use it like a cable saw.

cheesus crust it works, i used a steelwire, i think i found what i'll use to replace my broken racheting pvc pipe cutter , I have to run out side 20feet to the shed every time I want to use my large power tools, I never liked my hack saw really i always prefered the coping saw for all cuts

i just tied one end to my weight bench and the other to the back of my gocart and then i slid the pvc back and forth across the string. it cuts about 5 times faster then a hacksaw. the circular saw is probably better but this is free

I just use a hand operated Miter Saw.
Makes a straight cut every time.

I think your supose to tie the wire to 2 sticks and pull on those thats what i did

okay my wire keeps breaking i don't think its that good any more

You mean cotton string, you can actually cut pvc as fast as a hacksaw with it.
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.
