Here's my new paintball rifle. It's made of 1.5" fittings and has a diaphragm made from a rubber pipe cap. The trigger is a garden hose. It shoots paintball insanely fast a couple hundred feet. The barrel is removable too.

really nice, how did you attach the garden hose thingy to the npt threaded adapter? can you buy the piece somewhere that screws into a hose thread and makes it so you can screw it into a regular pipe thread?

Yes, paintballs are rolled down the barrel in order to load it.
Yes, as soon as I come home from vacation, it will be painted.
They barrel is about 21 inches, & the overall length of the gun is 26.5 inches.
I have a brass adapter that goes from male 3/4 NPT to male garden hose thread.
About the pressure, I really have no idea. There isn't a guage yet. Five pumps on my bike pump is all I do though.
*EDIT* Barrel is actually 21 inches, I don't know why I put 16 before.

Now that I'm home from vacation I want to paint this thing. Is it safe to use any old spraypaint on PVC or do I need something different?
did you read that post? jesus christ.........pimpmann22 wrote:Nice. Might want to paint to cover primer stains and such. I cant belive you havent got pelted for the use of non-pressure rated fittings. Must say I love the use of the garden hose attachment.
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

"Those aren't pressure fittings... bla bla bla" Who cares, I don't pressurize this thing like crazy and it's held up under pressure so far. By the way what fittings aren't pressure rated? I am pretty new to this stuff.

The fitting that comes out like a handle in front of the hose head isnt pressure rated. And the reason it's important to have pressure ratedfittings is safety man.
