P: Your valve won't seal while you're pressurizing the cannon.
A: You may have an equalization hole that is too small. You may also have a leak in the top of the valve, so the valve is constantly being piloted. You can expand the equalization hole with a needle or a tiny drill bit. If there is a leak in the top of the valve, use sealant or epoxy to seal it. You may need to create a vacuum in the cannon to suck in the sealant. Your valve may also be on backwards. Check that the arrows point towards the barrel. Also, the manual bleed switch on the solenoid may be up or partway up, keeping the valve from sealing.
First when i got the valve i pressurized the gun and did not seal whatsoever. Then i found this thread, and followed the instructions above. put it together then it leaks a ton through barrel for ~3 seconds and dies down to a smaller but still annoying leak (all leaks are through the barrel) i cannot disconnect from the compressor or will lose pressure. HELP!!
EDIT: Ive tried all the above this is my last resort! Sorry to all that are mad for seeing this

You probly have some kind of debree on the diaphram stopping it from sealing. Where did you get this sprinkler valve from?
I just noticed, the bleeder valve needs to be flipped down. It's the little black lever underneth the solinoid.

I have this same valve on my 2" Nerf football cannon. We actually made two identical cannons, and so far we're on our 4th collective diaphragm. I don't know why, but if you crack the plastic surrounding the sealing face on the diaphragm, it will leak down the barrel. It's a slow leak, but a leak none the less. Take a close look at that first, before you send it back. I was able to epoxy the plastic for a temporary repair, but eventually a whole new diaphragm was need.
I have experienced troubles like this with my premodded valve from BC arms. I was going to make a topic like this today, but I think 2 would be kind of obnoxious, so I hope you don't mind me throwing in my issue, which is quite like yours. heres the Pm I sent to joel, but I don't think he received for some reason. so If your reading Joel...
As you might know I bought one of your premodded sprinklers. At first It didn't seal because when I replaced the pilot I messed up the threads. so to fix it I moved up to a larger diameter reducer. I drilled a bigger hole, and threaded in fine, and that problem was solved. but the valve still leaked out the barrel, so I read the guide on troubleshooting a valve. I washed it with warm soapy water, let it dry and tested, still leaked. So I found some white lithium grease. I applied it and let it sit overnice then tried again and still a constant leak out the barrel. I have tested the whole gun underwater at at least 50 psi and the only bubbles are the ones from the valve opening. I am quite certain. So probably sometime this weekend I'll take some pictures and ask I anyone on the forums has anything else I could try, but if nothing works I would like to know If this would qualify for a replacement, or if I "voided" it by opening it up. But I can assure you that the diaphragm is not damaged, and that there is no leak piloting it.
Thanks for your time! Pizlo
Just to add to that I have washed and greased the diaphragm again and is still only leaks out the barrel, when I tested it a third time under water.
