Making a 2" Piston without O-Rings or Sheet PVC
This is kind of tricky, because I have no visual intel to show you guys. So I will use very descriptive words, bear with me...
1. First off, you're going to want to have an old inner tube from a bicycle lying around. This is the inside of the bike's tire, and can withstand a fair amount of pressure. Another item you'll want to have is a short length of 1.5 inch pipe, about 2 - 3 inches, and also two 2" or 1.5" endcaps, or sheet PVC, if you can get it it makes this a lot easier but the endcaps will work just as well. A piece of threaded rod or a bolt helps and some washers and nuts for the bolt are also required. In addition to this you're going to want to have a couple of basic tools, one of them a Dremel or rotary tool of some sort, or you can attempt to improvise.
2. Ok, you have your items, now to get to making the piston. Remember those endcaps, well if you have a Dremel you're going to have to take the straight line cutter and cut the top of the cap to get a small flat disk. Do this twice, and voila, two flat disks, it's freakin genius...
3. Next you're going to want to cut off about a 6-inch piece and then proceed to cut that piece of 6-inch tube in half along its length, producing a flat rectanglish piece of rubber. Take one of the two disks and place it upon said rectangular inner tube thingummy. Then cut around it with a razor blade, cutting tool, laser beam, whatever floats your boat. You now have a disk of rubber to go with your disk of plastic; now cut another one and punch a hole through the middle of the rubber disk as well as through the plastic disk the size of the threaded rod.
4. Next, drill four holes in a cross pattern about 3mm from the center of each plastic disk. After you do this, take your threaded bolt, and attach everything in this order from top to bottom:
Nut
Washer
Rubber disks 1+2
Plastic Disk
1.5"Pipe
Plastic Disk
Washer
Nut
After you do this, take the same inner tube from before, and cut two pieces of inner tube about 1 - 2 inches long, depending on your piston's length. Also, remember to cut one about half an inch to three-fourths of an inch longer than the other. Take the inner tube pieces and submerge them in hot water to make them more pliable and remove the white powder on the inside of the inner tube. After that, take about a foot to a foot and a half of duct tape and wrap it around the piston. Then take the previous inner tubes and stretch them over the pipe on top of the duct tape and make sure that the longer inner tube goes on last and overlaps the bottom inner tube, as well as that they both overlap the duct tape.

just a heads up, barrel sealers are easier to construct and GGDT say they yeild a little higher performance but i realize you will probably ignore this and go along with your plans

So you want your valve to be unique
I was actually thinking of making a chamber sealer for the same reason but got frustrated with the orings sealing right and just converted into a barrel sealer
