my new marble gun worked very well for only a short period of time. my piece of plastic that works like an o-wing shot out of my gun on one of my shots. now im looking for sugestions on how to keep the marble from rolling back by my reducers near the valve. i tryed once without it at about 50 psi and normaly it would go very far but this time it didnt even come out of the barrel. plus the last piece of plastic was restrickting the flow so i need a new idea.

Just put a screw through the barrel near the breech.

I use a short piece of metal pipe threaded on both ends at the valve , a piece of 1/2" metal pipe will not normally pass a marble so you file it in to about an inch or so with a taper so the marble gets trapped when it falls in. I connect it to either a half inch pvc drilled with an 11\16 or I use some of that 3/4 Inch in the yellow stuff ,cvpc I think its called with a fitting that lets you join it to regular half inch pipe.Sometimes I force the metal threads into a regular unthreaded 1/2" coupler.I use a 1" to 1/2" reducer in the sprinkler valve so as not to damage anything hard to replace ,the fittings are cheap as well as the small pvc pipe, but the modded valve involves a little more time and money. It works very well, I have this on two different guns and my nephew and I have fired well over two thousand marbles.

lol sry, i posted at like 3am or so last time, but anyways, i agree with the posts above mine. you should just put a stopper in it, i've used nails before and they work fine, screen mesh works too, if you can't find any go steal some off of your neighbors screen door or something.. at least thats what i did to my friends house  .
