i have made a marble launcher and do not have marbles right now...where do you guys generally get yours? and how much for how many? also what size barrel do you genereally use when firing marbles? mine is 1/2 inch
i bought some at the 99 cent store, but i find that ball bearings work better. you can aslo get 50 caliber musket balls at cabellas. ive never tried them, but they are reasonably priced.

1/2 PVC gets a perfect fit with the metal balls in the magnetic stick conecter thing. They are PERFECT.

my sprinkler valve i have taken it all they way up to 160 psi but i think before the diafram breaks 140 to 150. i think, and if i'm not mistaken they can vary from sprinkler valve to sprinkler valve

i buy my marbles from the local craft store....
they are aobut 5 bucks for a good 200, wich is pretty good. its also great because i the craft store people basically know my name, seeing as im the only one who goes back where the marbles are and spends hours finding the right ones.......
@hi: do you have a link to the .50cal musket balls? we are getting a cabellas near my house and it might be a good "damage" thing.

Tootles?
I use 1/2" type M copper, and 14mm Daisy brand slingshot ammo (marbles). Get them at Walmart.

now ive noticed that alot of copper and and pvc arent exactly the exact same ID even though they say 1/2 inch or whatever...so is 1/2 schedule 40 and 1/2 inch M copper the exact same ID? if so, how much of the slingshot ammo do you get for how much? and how would you compare it to marbles? better or worse?

1/2 inch DWV copper (the thinnest stuff) fits the 14mm marbles.
the type M copper fits the yellow wire nuts PERFECTLY.... wich make GREAT darts
to be honest, i havent used a PVC barrel in about two years.
but if your using 1/2 inch PVC 16mm marbles will fit nice. the 14mm ones for copper will be too small.

About a year ago I went to the dollar store and bought 15 bags of marbles. Dollar a piece for 100. They're 1/2 inch and the bag also included two 1 inch marbles as well. Just the normal cats eye marbles. Most of them are reusable as long as your not shooting at anything hard. If your interested I have like 10 bags left that I'm not using (Thats a 1000).
