spark jump

this my be a totally opinionated question, butmaybe theres science behind it. i was just woundering if there is a best lenght for the spark to jump. like is 2mm better then 1mm or i 3mm better then 4? jw

I don't think it really matters, however there hasn't really been any testing on it. You can test if you'd like

Longer spark isn't as hot. Shorter spark is hotter, but doesn't light as much gas on fire. Best spark would be one that fills your whole chamber, instantly superheating all the air inside, creating pressure with out the need for fuel.

ok, besides filling the chamber with superheated sparks should i go for about medium length so i get the area coverage and the heat from long and short sparks?

A larger spark has a greater chance of ignting fuel that is not mixed properly, because it covers a large area, but if you using a chamber fan, it should matter.
