Oi mate, Jafa's run the bloody country whether you like it or not. You can't support a country of just sheep and dairy, you need people to handle the business side of a country and that is where JAFA's control most of the money coming in and out of NZ. Without them you would have no one to sell your products too, no way to make money, no way to get supported by the Government considering JAFA's have more then the majority of NZ's money. NZ can do without farming, sure we'd be a lot worse off but you have to admit NZ needs JAFA's.

Also, i'm a JAFA and i'm handy with cars. I helped my friend change the suspension, transmission, engine and gear box in two BMW's.

When you think of a JAFA, you are thinking of a stereotype. The stereotype for someone who doesn't live in Auckland is a sheepshagger, now do you really think these stereotypes are fair and honest?

PM me if you have more to say.

Back on topic, isn't it weird how sometimes the most idiotic people in life make money the easiest? For example, Paris Hilton and everyone on MTV.

Personally I believe a lot of stereotypes are true.. As long as around 8% or higher of those who talked about is true then it makes the stereotype true..
Like hicks wear cowboy hats.. not all of them do... but a good percentage of them do... Or Italians are good at cooking... not all of them are but again a good percentage of them are good..

Im not sure about the JAFA one I just wanted to drop in and say that comment.

Man, how old are you?
i am 14

What really makes me mad is people who go and say all this crap about how there qualified to do such and such a operation, and then when you leave them they dont have a clue as too what there doing

like someone saying they know all about generators {7hp subaru} and when there about to pull the recoil starter you ask them about the ground wire while they respond whats a ground wire.

i grew up on a farm till i was 13 then my parents got divorced and my mom remarried so now i go to an elitest private school because my mom thinks itll be good for me to see the simple and extravagant side of life, easy answer for me ill go back to living on the farm

It's the eternal question of social classes. There are people who can do certain jobs, those jobs requiring a lot of study and thus a minimum of intelligence. Again, there are exceptions, some people are very smart, but are not made for long studies, these people usually "create" things, like say a plumber who fixes things, he understands the way the whole system works, and can easily find where's the glitch.
I don't want to go over the jealousy part but it seems a lot of people are. I've seen people claim they've got an I.Q. of 150 , i'd say, the first thing about intelligence is you don't throw it like that. This is called vanity. These people maybe intelligent, i'd say they're j*rks.
I respect a lot the one who has difficulties understanding a given problem, and tries to figure it out, even if it takes time. But i hate the one who doesn't understand, and rather than trying to understand, will insult the ones who understand it at the first glance.
Our society is built on these principles...and sometimes it pisses me off big time.

P.S. sorry for my vulgarity, but it really pisses me off! :D

actually elitist and most elite mean different things.

Elitist-someone who believes in rule by an elite group

Most elite - representing the most choice or select; best: an elite group of authors.

so you could say that the elitist wants the world to be ruled by the most elite. :D :D

Ditto. You'll see that the people who manage to do the best for themselves are very often those who deserve nothing better than a quick and early death.

I'm not saying you'll be dirt poor, because as long as you have good work ethic, you probably won't be. But intelligence is no match for dumb luck, and it is very likely that the most ignorant, combative, and permanently intoxicated people from your school will become just as financially successful as you. If these people were guaranteed what they deserve, rather than the opposite, the idiocracy could never propagate as it does in reality.

I'm surprised how many replies this has gotten.

Yeah, luck is pretty big factor I think because you could be the richest man on earth but one day BAM you hit rock bottom.

It's like actors who get fame and glory for like 2 months, but when they lose it they get some mentality syndrome which I can't remember what it's called.

There are alot famous scientists and inventors who hit rock bottom but they're luck and hardwork paid off and boom! They created something that could of revolutionised (can't spell it sorry) the world...like a cure for rabies.

It also depends on your ethic and personality. Here's a question, there's 2, one carriage train going to collide.

Train 1 - It has the man has the cure for breast cancer for exampleA
Train 2 - You're family and yourself

If you had a chance to save one train, who would that train be. It's like retorical question life is...
It's Nerf or Nothing.

Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

Just Another F*cking Aucklander - JAFA

Auckland being NZ's largest city and housing more then a 1/4 of NZ's population, we get a lot of flack from the rest of the country because they think we live the easy rich life up here in Auckland while they toil away doing whatever they do. It's funny how they criticize us when none of them would probably trade their life for ours.

Sometimes simple life outside the big cities is better, they just don't realise that. I'd say probably only 8% of Aucklanders would fit their stereotype, if that. Most of Auckland isn't well off at all. Not sure how many farmers fit our stereotype of sheepshaggers though, probably a similar number. It gets lonely out their...

I said PM me. Regardless, I think most developed countries fit that criteria. Sure we could do without them, it'd be hard though. Now PM me next time or i'll just delete your post.

Back on topic, JSR and DYI are probably right. Somehow these people end up coming off all right in the end. Usually middle class. Only the extreme DF (drug fcked) people hardly ever make a living.

Oh and littlebro05,

I'd save train 2. The cure for breast cancer ain't gonna help me and my family when we're dead

I dunno, have you seen Pete Doherty? He seems to make a living exclusively out of being off his head.

Mind you the irony is that people often get successful, then get drugs.

the thing that pisses me off is whenever someone heres about something i made or am making their response is either "friek!" or "your a genius!"

it's sad that people don't realize that if they actually make an effort to do something, it isn't very hard.
