And totally irrelevant! :P

If horoscopes meant anything, the world would be in a quantum state where each week, twelve twelfths of the population would have to watch out for burns, break up their marriage, have good financial luck, find a dark handsome stranger, avoid making risky bets, buy a lottery ticket because they're going to have good luck, call the fire brigade once a day, and avoid their boss's partner - all at the same time!!!

And to add something that isn't a rant, I noticed that HEAL's video has surpassed 15,000 views recently, which isn't bad.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Horoscopes don't exist anyway. Sure constellations are real, but they're all different in size. The 12 star signs are usually about a month long each, but I read somewhere that something like Cancer is twice as big (or small) as Leo, or maybe the other way round.

Anyway my point is, that not all star signs last a month, some last longer, some shorter. Even though Virgo in our standards is around September, it really could be in March or June. So that means no one has a personal star sign corresponding to their birth unless you actually know which constellation was active during your birth.

I dunno it was on the History channel...quite interesting.

In Spud news, I got two Merits and an Excellence for my hardtech project over the year, the VAL cannon I built. Our grading system is Not Achieved, Achieved, Merit, Excellence. So i'm quite pleased.

Well, the thing most people have forgotten is that due to many long centuries of being slightly out of sync with the year, they no longer line up with the dates they're supposed to.
And to add on to your point about the constellations being different sizes, there are other constellations that get forgotten.

But anyway, enough about hokey old practises with no relevance in today's world other than perhaps as humour.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say, I just worded it badly. :P

In the world of spuds in one weeks time,

ITWOST I finished making a paintball gun that I started a long time ago (and even posted, but it looked like crap). I may put up a video soon.
I also bought a truck, so this is the last cannon for a long time :(
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.

Probably.

@Everyone,

Remember this is a thread for discussing spud related topics. Hence the 'Spud' in In The World Of Spuds Today (ITWOST). If you have something irrelevant to say, like me and Rag's conversation above, make sure you add something relevant at the end of your post. Otherwise it will be deleted.

There is nothing wrong with a thread that keeps on going and people post in almost daily. I remember a few threads on some other forums that I used to go to that had over a thousand pages. Anyways, I like the idea of people being able to post little topics here rather than start a thread that may not quite be thread starting worthy.

ITWOST I mounted a scope and carved the rough shape to the stock of my next contraption.

I like to play blackjack. I'm not addicted to gambling, I'm addicted to sitting in a semi-circle.

"In the world of spuds today" i shot a persons head clean off from 15 feet with my .50 cal pneumatic at 160psi! Lucky that the person was drawn with a sharpie and had a head the size of a cherry!

Content edit by MrC: No need for the drawn person to be a policeman.
Even if you are joking, it's not a good look.

I concur completely. This and the "Things That Piss You Off" thread needs a much deserved and overdue burial at sea.

I do not agree, how can a thread go on for too long when there is stil content that is posted that relates to is original purpose. sure it needs cleaning up a little, but not a shutdown.
