Yea the nitro rc thing makes sense. It is comprised of gasoline ( i think) and nitromethane, the stuff used in the top fuel dragsters. It doesn't burn as fast as gasoline but you can pack more in a chamber to compensate because nitromethane has oxygen atoms within.

Me personally I used lighter parts to make a butane injection system which goes through a venturi (sp?) so I get a good fuel/air mix each time.

RC Nitro Fuel is made up of three ingredients:

Methanol (alcohol) 20-30%
Synthetic and non-Synthetic (Castor) Oil (usually 11% of mixture is oil combination)
Nitro Methane 59-69%

It doesn't contain any gasoline. Just so you know.

that all varies on the nitro ration of the gas. the higher the nitro content the higher the price. 10% nitro is $19.99 a gal. 30% is $29.99 a gal.

That’s what I said 20% to 30% methanol and 59% to 69% nitro methane. The oil is always 11% no matter what the percent rating of the fuel. I’ve never used the 10% because my R/C runs on 20-30%
