WOW!! wrote:Very nice gun, have a few questions, how do you fill it?
Is the air chamber right behinde the sprinkler vavle?
And what are the peises at the end?
Thxs kool gun.
It probably has a schrader, but I'm not sure on that one...
The one peice on the barrel end is called a Flange... I don't know exactly what kind it is just check on google or something, they're commonly on toilets bottom...
That gun is awsome... It looks great and I'm sure it shoots great...

Ok... The compression chamber is beheind the sprinkler valve (3 in pvc) it has a screw in tire valve at the bachk that is how I fill it. The pices are a pipe flange and ruber pipe fiting. just go to home depot and look at the all abs fittings you will see all the parts that are on this gun. Just the outside is abs. all of the internal working parts are pvc.
And the question about the airsoft.. I dont know about the fields, I usuly play in scenario games where there are vehicles, HMMWVs, tracked vehicles, dune buggys, ect.. The only way to take a vehicle out is with something that shoots (mini NERF Vortex Howler footballs) They fit perfectly in a 2' barel my launcher can hit a target acurately at 150feet wuth a flat trajectory. there is a guy that has a howitser, and that damn thing can shoot a nerf vortex over 800feet. I would guess that a mortar tube at the right angle and pressure would do about the same. But (MINI NERF vortex howler footballs) are great, and they have a nasty howling sound when they are flying through the air..

ok. The sprinkler normaly runs on 24V for a 250 psi sprinkler line.. It can open fast with one 9V up to 60 psi.. and with two 9V wired in series that makes 18V I can open the valve up to 120 ps
Wireing in series means you take two 9V bateries hook one (+) from one baterie to the( - )of the other.. one baterie will have a(+) open and the other a( - )run the negative wire to any of the wires on the sprinkler valve.
and run the posative through the switch to the other open wire on the valve...Does that answer the question?

modded pnuematics are generally more powerful, but for me they're easier to do than electric actuation.
i'd never figure it out, sapper has skills.
you should mess with chamber fans and all that cool stuff on combustions.

THIS IS SWEET lol
I am assuming your using this for MIL-SIMing am i correct
then you really want the pnumatic operation electronics can get wet and not work and if you wanna be like the real military play rain or shine and if you build this i bet your a hard core player so it only makes sense
also the Real Steal At 4 use a mechanical firing pin because of issues with electronics
