You'd have lower barrel pressure (meaning it would be quieter ;) ) but in terms of power the increased projectile base area should compensate for this.

UPDATE:Here is the most recent pic of the gun,It is now painted but it needs some more epoxy putty.

Notice the new broader barrel sleave.

And likely less accurate.

If you saw off your barrel, it is likely that you remove the choke on the end of the barrel.

The choke is a slight reduction of the inner diameter of the barrel, found in most airgun barrels. It makes sure that each pellet is forced into the rifling of the barrel.
If you remove the choke, the pellet could have some space to slightly "bounce" through the barrel, reducing the accuracy of the airgun.
Also, the end or "crown" of a barrel is removed. The crown is specially machined to ensure the pellet exits the barrel properly and continues on a straight trajectory relative to the axis of the barrel.
If there is no crown projectiles could deviate from their normal trajectory.

Anyway, this is a spudgun forum so I guess it is not always about accuracy :) Still, I think it is better to leave barrels in their original state when it comes to airguns.

The gun wasn't all that accurate to begin with, but yea, I see where you are coming from, its still many times more accurate than any spudgun, 2" groups at ~30ft

EDIT:
Whoops, sorry guys at karen's house, this is frankrede

I like it :D (Except it's kind of a waste of a red dot sight)
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.

Thanks!
As soon as I get some more epoxy putty I am removing the 1911 style grip and adding a shorter more Beretta style one.

I totally missed your update 3 days ago. That's almost too sweet looking. Might want to be careful were you whip that one out, out there in LV.

Did you build that suppressor? Details?

Yea, the suppressor is basic just some steel wool in a pipe, works well though, takes alot of the crack away.

Nice little sawed off. That suppressor looks a little shinier then the rest of the gun. I'd repaint it to match the rest of the gun.
