Hi All
This is my first attempt to make a piston type gun. I am using SCH80 and a 3” piston on a 2” barrow. I will be done with it by the end of the month because of some custom parts we are making in the shop to also shoot golf balls; I have looked at a lot of guns and like this design. I have a free cad drawing (2d) if you email me I will send it to you. If any one want to give me any suggestions that would be great.

Welcome to Spudfiles. Do you have the design drawn up in CAD...maybe some you could share with us?

Looks like you're on the right trail, design seems solid so far. Looks like you're going to install a breech load system. Are you going to sleeve SDR21 1.5" to accommodate a golf ball?

His camera date is in American format...doesn't really mean anything though. His parts do look to have sched 80 thickness.

I can see from your pieces that your probably gonna make a little mistake... on your barrel support, remove the inner edges from the T's and use the lower one to sleeve the chamber, otherwise from what I can tell will cause some complications...

Hi Jim.
I am, Jim. Pleased to meet you.
(Yep we're both Jim :D)

SCH80 pipe usually has a dark grey color, just like the european kind, and the pipe walls seem quite thick if you ask me. So its probably SCH80 pvc meaning he does not necessarily has to come from Europe.

Hi
I am from Michigan, I did not use SDR21 to sleeve the barrow, but if you look at pic their is a barrow adaptor that a friend made for me. I used SCH80 because it is thicker. On the barrow support we open the hole up also on the 2x3 adaptor for the tee. We also made a 3/16 plug for the support tee so we don't have to worry about leaks. Thanks for all the help! :)

Next time you decide to add something to your post (within a few hours), please click the "edit" button instead of making a double post.

You can upload the powerpoint if you put it in a .rar or .zip file. Max filesize 750kb.
Click add reply button at the bottom of this page under the textbox you type your post in, there is a function to add attachments.

Very wise of you to use SCH80. At least someone who spends just a few bucks for his own safety.
