Yes, and ill say it again, everyone of my double posts is in my own thread, and each is at least a day apart, and adds something new every time, where as yours are like "cool gun" or "wow neat gun", or "your the most talented purson on this site"(yes that is an exact quote). I really could care less to be frank, but if im gonna get my arse chewed for it, I think all users should feel the pain equally.thewarp16 wrote:three double posts and you said i make useless threads lol:
To add something about the cannon, It is now complete with a better meter, and stronger threads into the chamber, I still havent fired it with the metered propane, I need to find a new place to shoot.

Thanks for the compliment, next time try to add some advice, or something you specifically like, other than the paint, the paint doesnt make it a cannon after all...xpiC wrote:Woah

I broke down and decided to test cellular core ABS DWV pipe. I built a 2 inch coaxial air cannon with a 4 inch air chamber. To create a weak spot, I didn't put the fill valve in a double layer, but stuck it right in the side.starman wrote:Pretty nifty combustion you have there. You've done a good job on some build details. Even though the paint job was a little half hearted, it actually works in a sort-of artsy way.
You could help out your performance with a longer barrel, you would of course sacrifice portability some.
Also the DWV police here will eventually have something to add regarding your design....
Welcome to Spudfiles! Nice effort overall. You obviously did some homework before building it.
Tested it to 85 PSI. It held. We use it every year to launch apples at a church camp with 30-65 PSI. It is now over 7 years old and still failed to fail.
Some details on this is located on a competition t shirt launcher site when materials were discussed for barrels and other parts.

Near the bottom of this page is a photo of me holding the launcher and a short blurb on the test.
Feel free to view the other pages from the menu on the left. The site is pretty dead now that the competition is over and posting was limited to contestants, instructors, and mentors.
