Mk IV QEV Popoff. Updated 22 Feb
Nice! This just gave me a target idea since I just ran out of cans...
Shoot some more! Disintegrate the thing!
What ammo are you exactly shooting?

I love that first video.
It reminds me of Bad Company, when the cameraview shakes with every shot.
It even sounds like that...
The second video reminds me of Platoon...I love that even more!!!
Very cool, please order some 8mm bb's!!

I think we need to set up a donation fund, and all money will be put into shipping airsoft and steel bb's to Australia, because there are far to many decent people like this man here, who have to put up with beads. Either that, or just get someone in the UK or closer to Australia to take money and ship them to whoever wants em' and is willing to pay for massive shipping, hell if you sent me the money I would send anything I could get ya
All the best man, that gun is fantastic, all of these pop-off full autos are still so damn neat...

Just to clear things up, I am shooting 6.5mm fishing sinkers, not plastic beads. I think the are better than steel BBs, as they weigh about 2-3 grams each, the only bad thing about them is they deform on impact and cant be reused, and they are relatively expensive
BTB, I have to agree with you there, the gun mounted video is still my favorite, makes it sound and look really tough. I now have two cameras to play with so I can probably get a few more shots like that, and also get close up damage

Awesome cannon mate, mind sharing the source for the pop off valve as well? I can only seem to find ones for a turbo on a car.

I've often thought automotive dump valves could be adapted as a direct valve for a larger calibre pneumatic auto...FragmentedSanity wrote:Awesome cannon mate, mind sharing the source for the pop off valve as well? I can only seem to find ones for a turbo on a car.

Well I got mine of my air compressor, who needs a safety valve anywayFragmentedSanity wrote:Awesome cannon mate, mind sharing the source for the pop off valve as well? I can only seem to find ones for a turbo on a car.
I honestly don't know where to by them separately, I have been looking myself. I guess you could order them as a spare part from an air compressor manufacturer. I think Mcmaster has them, but thats only good for people in the USA.

Did a little searching and came up with http://www.rossbrownsales.com.au/page/c ... nents.html
Haven't emailed him yet, and prices aren't listed but the site is worth a look even just for the data sheets they have on the valves.
Will also have to have a better look at bunnings and supercheap, Thanks Carlman.

Wow I love that 2nd video,I wasn't expecting that!
Nice ROF aswell it sounds aboslutely horn .
Speaking of a car blow off valve I just happend to recieve one that fell of the back of a truck per say.I have no use for it.But they are air actuated much like venting the pilot in a piston valve and rated only upto 25psi which isn't what I would call exciting.
Now if you can't find them in supercheap you can also try going to a trade supply shop, they are everywere and they'll be able to get you ones that can do anything you want.

Well I did a lot of firing today, mainly long range shots of approximately 50meters (165feet) and it made it very obvious that there was a lot of double feeding happening, about every second shot would have an extra round come out at a much lower velocity. So I decided to try the adjustable ammo stop idea. Have to say the ammo feed is much better now. I did not have any rubber tube or rod to use so I had to make do with some line trimmer cord, which sometimes causes it to jam. Once I get some rubber to fit it or have a spring loaded detent it should work very reliably. Here is a video comparison before and after the ammo stop was installed.

Also shot it through the crony with the tighter barrel and it has caused a significant increase in muzzle velocity. Now averaging 400fps and about 13 f/lbs per round
Got lots of good long range footage too, but I will wait till I get some more long range shots with the upgraded Tee tomorrow before uploading
Stay Tuned

s-w-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-t!
13 ftd/lbs, thats 1 ft/lb more than what for an airgun in the UK legally makes it a firearm, and on full auto! Excellent work mate
Those are the sort of power levels I'm after, hope the HPA tank doesn't disappoint. We'll see.
