Anyway, Just thought I'd show you guys what Ive been dumping my money into lately (instead of spud guns), mostly due to the fact that im pretty sure most people on this forum (unless alot has changed) would probably love to get their hands on one.
Here it is...
I Will try to get zoomed versions of the last two up, and here's a link to my facebook album with closeups of all the insides (and the title is a joke. Don't take it literally and its funny. trust me)

Nice car you got there. I've been looking to get the 1/16 E-Revo VXL but I'm torn between that and a 26" trials bike. Man I wish I was rich...

haha I bought this with the money I made over the summer. I intended to only spend about 500 of the large sum I got, but... Ive spent a good $1000 on this thing. All in good fun though, Its truly a tinkerers heaven.
and all Traxxs cars are great. If you are considering it, Id do it. try to find a place to race it as well, It adds a whole dimension of fun onto it.

Funny you say that... We made a lexan covering and then scammed fellow visitors of my schools fair money by allowing them 5 shots with a paintball gun to try to shoot my car, and if they did, they got to shoot me... Was great fun.jrrdw wrote:Only if you let JoergS shoot at it with his sling shot!
That and its a hobby because this thing takes constant maintenance and fixing/tinkering. Its not like I can just pull it off the shelf like a toy car and have it work, and its not like i can drive it for a few seconds and put it away. you have to tune everything, set everything, put in every screw, measure like 50 different angles, ect ect.

I would have to say, ladies, this is what you should aspire to:

Though really, you wouldn't want a woman that size
expensive hobby, i used to have a team losi xxxnt. i sold it cause it seemed like i was buying replacement parts every weekend. the differential was poorly designed not to mention plastic gears and a single cruddy disk break. but it was fun when it worked. at the time i had it i was also into paintball another expensive hobby especially since there is no conservation of paint with an eclipse ego. if i was going to buy another i would buy a high end electric since electricity is my field of study.

I got a tmaxx w/3.3, rustler vxl w/8 cell battery, and rc18mt w/ mamba 6700 brusless system. Here is a couple of videos I made when I first got into it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oT4KVyiLlA and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vx2CC1y2Jmc. They are kinda lame but hey its a video right.

I have a T-4 with a vector x-11, sphere, road hawgs, nearly all converted to FT parts, hitec MG, spektrum 2.4 gear etc. It needs to be rebuilt, and I need to completely fabricate some new parts and find some replacements. (it would be nice not to rebuild the diff so often).
