I have an idea to use an old propane tank as a pressure tank with a piece of hydraulic hose coming up to the gun. Dual 1" sprinkler valves for actuation. Constant air suply into propane tank from air compressor. I have thought about using a hydraulic quick disconect for removing the gun from the tank for storage. Sprinkler valves would be electrically operated by my drill battery or a battery from a cheap drill that i dedicate to the spud gun. If i dedicate a tool to a gun i would take the tool apart and cut the case to hold the battery and have it attached to the gun. Heck i may even use the tool's trigger to fire the gun.

It may be best to find a way to eliminate the length of small diameter hose. A sprinkler valve will open on just a couple 9 volt batteries just fine. If you remove the valve from the propane tank the threaded neck is 3/4 inch. With that restriction a pair of sprinkler valves is pointless.

Why would you use a propane tank in between the compressor and gun? Portability is the only reason I can think of. Anyways unless you have a shut-off valve between the compressor and propane tank, it will just empty the compressor when you shoot the gun.

I am going to use dual sprinler valves to allow for upgrades in performace down the road. The compressor in question would be a 60 gallon two stage compressor with a true 5hp motor idon't think i have to worry about exausting it of air. The hydraulic hose would be 3/4" or 1".
