well I wouldn't say it's just about opinions here... with cartridges you can foul yourself that things are simpler... but this isn't true... a 'traditional' hybrid would do all the stuff on it's own, while in case of cartridges you are the one who has to meter & load ammo

anyway I wonder who will be the first person to build a semi or full auto combustion hybrid... lol maybe we need a competition ??

Update: I tried the cartridge one last time. This time I used a ball bearing as ammo. The result was similar to last time. Both my O-rings were blown out as well as my burst disk. Nothing could by found. The blast was incredibly loud however and damage was pretty good.

could you post some details on the cartridges when you get a chance, perhaps we could look for some fixes or at least some lessons

I intend to pretty it up when I have the time but, it is just not practical to shot a lot. Sound is also a concern for me. It is insanely loud and the neighbors do not appreciate it.
