Do you have specs for a loading mechanism? I don't want to doubt you because it looks fantastic, but how are you possibly going to manage 300 balls per minute?

@big-e: it's right for the cycle.

@spook : well, i make a prevision, that a round can be make in one second, 5 shot in one sec. = 300 min...

but it's just to calculate the rotation of the motor... ouch hard english

Sweeeeeeet! Bit wobbly but assuming it always fires at the same juncture it should be fairly consistent :) what are you doing for ignition?

looking good, I hope though that at high speed it won't be chopping up paintballs in the feed system...

Very very nice design. can't wait to see the finished product. Makes it seem like the french make the nicest cannons so far really makes me look forward every time i go to patatar.net.
Yeah, it's that important.

i will use "reball", it's paintball ammo with no paint inside.
Rubber ball for standart paintball gun, also called "reball".

here it's the back from my gatling, you can see the fan, the motor (from an ancient 12v drill)

Is the fan there to intoduce air into the system? How are you measuring the amount of fuel injected?

too hard to explain, i will use the same system from my RR6
http://patator.frbb.net/conseils-aides- ... -t5133.htm

Finally you turn on the fan, then you open the butane gas ! important ! all the time the butane is open!

and with a Faucet on butane, you régulate the flow of butane to make a perfect mix. this will work perfectly.

test with a lighter on top of canon, then when it explode the mix is ok

I love it, the design is brilliant,

he's got a continuous fuel air mix filling the chambers when they load.

just be careful with that explosive fuel air mixture or you'll find yourself with very crispy eyebrows

ditto, very ambitious but it just might work :)

are you still not clear on how the fuel injection/venting works? look at the diagram below imagine the blue part rotating around the gray part and a continuous flow of air mixed with fuel blowing in from the gray tube into the blue chambers

as far as I've seen this is the only automatic combustion design that doesn't use timing circuits, and I'm a fan of passive engineering designs

I think jack probably grasps the concept  I'd agree the idea is very clever and the implementation so far is looking good. However the complexity of this is probably sufficient to throw up quite a few problems. What is worrying me is getting enough fuel/air into the chamber for a decent shot in the short time the chamber is open to the central manifold. Bear in mind the mixture is only being pushed by a fan with several corners to negotiate. Hopefully it's a powerful little fan :)
