So I just got an idea while surfing the forums. What if you had a 3' piece of pipe with contacts on the inside, connected to a switch that powered a stun gun. Here's the idea: you can make a cannister, filled with your choice of propellant, and a plastic cap (one that removes by pressure), and two screws going into the canister.
When you drop the canister into the 3' pipe, there is a switch at the bottom of the 3' pipe that will be activated by the weight of the canister, and will in turn trigger the stun gun, making contact with the screws on the canister, igniting the gas inside the canister.
Would this idea work?? If you don't get what I am saying, I will try to draw a picture.
Drop-In Self-Propelling Cannon
It seems like it would work, but it sounds like too much trouble.
Although, it would be neat to see attempted.
The only problem I can think of is the contacts not lining up with each other.
The idea still seems pretty easy, why don't you make a couple, test them, and report back?

Make the contact points on the bottom, make it out of two metal rings, one inside the other, this will guarantee the contacts match up.

"There isn't a problem in the world that can't be solved by the proper application of explosives"
I made this only with a pheumatic cannon and a sprinkler valve. All you do is make a over under set up and then put too screws at the bottom and then use that as a switch like you said and then run that to your sprinkler valve, and bam you got a mortar cannon.

Yea, draw some pictures and post them. When you say - Drop-In Self-Propelling Cannon, that sounds to me like the cannon has some kind of drive unit under it to move it from place to place, and drop in sounds like a loading style. Confuseing title, but i still want to see what you mean by it.
