You should ask your money back, cause the product didn't do what they claimed

Here's my latest development, compared with the mini hybrid for scale. Much smaller chamber volume - using a 13.5mm I/D steel tube - and the burst disk attachment is made from a cut down brass 1/8" compression fitting. Epoxy's cured but sadly I don't have a suitable o-ring for sealing so testing will have to wait, watch this space.

you should have tryed to keep the threaded fitting flush, it would help with feeding when you get a working semi out of it.

This is for a single shot launcher, though with my current plans for cartridges they should be similar. I want this to evaluate the power available from a smaller chamber, and if I'm happy with it maybe add a proper grip and integrally suppressed barrel. This was the original plan for the mini but it's far too loud to be practical for what I had in mind.

Some more high speed footage at 1000 fps firing at 14x with 16 grain 0.22" pellets.
edit: old asthma inhaler, seems it was still pressurised

Having a lighter in your breast pocket might actually save your life if you were being shot at by a mini-hybrid

Haha finally!

Micro hybrid test at 10x, first click piezo ignition for a chamber volume just under 4mL, bloody loud without a barrel

yeah, its loud. get a barrel and start taking damage
is there and advantage to having the spark gap going from that wire the the schrader then having it going from a wire on schrader to the chamber? because iv just cut 8 aluminum tubes for my cartridges and would like them to be the best that they can be

Technically if the spark is central you're get a better burn.ilovefire wrote:is there and advantage to having the spark gap going from that wire the the schrader then having it going from a wire on schrader to the chamber?
Shortish (just under 10 inches) 0.177" barrel fitting curing as we speak, I'm curious to see what the power potential is from a small chamber.

I'd love to try this kind of launcher but I've got an allergy to epoxy, looks interesting though.
Afraid I don't have any technical advice, though it would look quite nice in a High Standard "Hush Puppy" housing.
I can't find a picture of the darn thing though, JSR you surely know what I mean.

Pretty much what I had in mind (Chinese not Japanese as orginally claimed, as spotted by the eagle-eyed Ragnarok link but plenty of pictures)Zeus wrote:Afraid I don't have any technical advice, though it would look quite nice in a High Standard "Hush Puppy" housing.

Your linky skills are unrivalled, I've always liked the hush puppy, I read that you were considering a Welrod look, but I had to mention the hush puppy.
I'd like to see if you take supressor design to the extent that you've taken fuelling mix work.
I might take some inspiration from your final design for a "little project" I'm working on.

at low mixes like 5x it isn't that impressive (at least not in my 3ml) but at higher mixes like 15-20x it maybe could be alright, you'll just have to find out how to ignite itjackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Shortish (just under 10 inches) 0.177" barrel fitting curing as we speak, I'm curious to see what the power potential is from a small chamber.

I gave it a go at 10x and it wasn't very impressive, but the problem I have at the moment is that the seal I have only allows a hole smaller than 2mm at the breech so flow is greatly restricted. I'll try and buy a properly sized o-ring tomorrow.
