Are erm... *cough* certain... incendiary events allowed in the videos for the contest? Assuming of course, that there is also a nonreactive projectile and no solid propellants involved and all of the event occurs outside the spudgun, but as a direct result of the launch (And that such an event falls within the rules)?

As random as it may be, it was intended to be a fake movie trailer but light was fading, battery was dead and I had a lecture to get to so I ran out of time to get more shots and I couldn't be bothered filming more another day
I just figured no one had filmed a spudgun video in 3rd person with a brief background sequence
Thanks POLAND, appreciated
btw, don't ask how I got the bird to fly in front of the camera while I happened to be recording a shot at 420fps to test the focus and lighting.

VERY nice vid Crowley, probably the best editing and most creativity I've ever seen in a spudgun video.
However, as it states in the contest rules, other oxidizer/fuel mixtures are allowed to be used in both the ammo and target. As a general guideline, so long as it falls within the forum rules, it's acceptable here.
That depends. If it involves solid propellants in any way, then it is in violation of the forum rules, and subsequently will be excluded from this contest. Are erm... *cough* certain... incendiary events allowed in the videos for the contest? The feet, why, WHY?!
but yes, good stuff I especially like the fact that you can tell between the yellow pineapple gunk and red paintball bits.
And that bird shot was really lucky! How the hell did you convince it to do another pass backwards?
Fine, I'll get my coat

Mark.f has offered an additional donation of $20 towards the contest prize, so we're up to $60 cash in addition to the JSRTM pengun, custom made piston, and electric igniters. I'd say that's a pretty damn good prize for a contest that doesn't even require you to spend any money. Better get your entries in soon, because the contest closes at the end of the month.

Indeed, surprised by the lack of entries. Maybe you should extend the deadline?SpudBlaster15 wrote:I'd say that's a pretty damn good prize for a contest that doesn't even require you to spend any money. Better get your entries in soon, because the contest closes at the end of the month.

If we get to within a week of Halloween and still have less than half a dozen or so entries, I'll extend the deadline to sometime in November.
I know there are a few people working on contest videos, but honestly, I'm quite surprised by the lack of interest.

School 'I think' has a lot to do with it. Takes a fair amount of time to get school day done then home stuff then if there is enough light left in the day fit spudding in there.SpudBlaster15 wrote:I'm quite surprised by the lack of interest.
Might want to give it untill December because the prize would make for a nice holiday and would give more member's time needed to fit it in...Just a thought it's up to you.

I really want to enter, but as Jrrdw said: School is taking up alot of time on my part.
The prize is starting to get really nice though.. I might be able to get a manometer for my fuel meter from Copperboy before the deadline.
I'll start to think up ideas and make some projectiles so I am as ready as I can be.
