You'd better hope the seller marked them. When I ordered some he didn't mark them as slingshot ammo (yeah, great, nothing against asians but if you're going to sell something on ebay you should know how to speak english) and customs confiscated them. I got a nice letter telling me next time i imported something illegal i'd be prosecuted.
Yeah I ordered mine from UK and sent them a message asking them to label it.. really hoping they do
I hear the fines are pretty steep, like importing actual weapon ammo and such..
How else do people in aus get ammo?

Make your own
No seriously, even if the barrel is 6mm ID, you can still make some pretty good darts with just a drill.

Iv made some epic darts for a mini spud gun style dart shooter before.. they were just tiny tack nails, with a funnel tail made from tape.. Maannnn do they fly and stab.. they go a long long long way and are reeaallyy accurate. I hit a bush turkey from what would have been about 50m away.. good stuff.
But back to the point, I want something that me and the mates can shoot at each other without fear of having to go to the emergency room..
what about beads? like little necklace beads, Im sure I could probably find some close to 6mm.
And what is this drill method you talk of?

lol barrel (insert pic of barrel)
I agree, although smacking it with a hammer is not giong to be very accurate
I'd go with a cocking/firing spring mech thingamajig (or a cap gun).

haha that pic is gold.. so ur saying the point of the hammer is to make the bursts super short for single shot? cause it will be hard to be that fast with the hand?
yeah i was planning on using a barrel like that.. was just gonna grab it from a hobby store though.. will run an adjustable popoff system for moar powa
Good old deal extreme.. might have to have a looksie depending on whether the ones I ordered come through.. Im really hoping they do, cause if I get a notice from customs then my one chance is up and its a bit risky trying again.

A drill clamped to a work table can substitute for a drill press which can substitute for a lathe. You can use a drill or drill press to turn steel rod into rotationally symmetric darts, then add fins or a tail. If your tail or fins are good enough you can make a pretty heavy dart and pack a lot more Ke into it than a normal projectile. But you wouldn't shoot that at anything you want in good condition after impact.
You can probably buy 1/4"(6.35mm) beads and fill the hole with epoxy or the like if you don't want to damage the target too badly. However, I don't reccomend shooting ANYTHING at a live human or live animal out of a spudgun.

the 1/4 balls I linked, I got $25 worth, if you are going for destruction then I would recommended them, the space between the Id of the tube and the diameter of the ball is enough to use a O ring or similar but if you are like me then a slight bump on a hard edge will do enough to keep it in one place

yes but the point of the o-ring is to build up pressure behind the bb... then when it pops and fires it will have maximum force, and will be more efficient.

All you want to do is if your using steel bb’s is head to a hobby shop for some brass tube (most bigger toyworld’s stock all different sizes , a lot of them telescoping ) then find your self a bearing shop In an industrial estate near you. CBC bearings are a good one, and there’s a couple of them in brissy & they have a great selection of sizes & the more you buy the cheaper they get.
I was think you should try something like this
hammer valve
Although this seems to be the holy grail in multiple shots , not many people have been able to make a successful hammer mechanism that’s reliable – BTB and a couple others has but Its not the most easiest setup to make. i like you idea here simple yet affective 8)
