I must say that is a nice compressor setup you got there. jealous

I put in a fair bit of oil to make sure its oiled...

Can someone confirm that it is fine to put small amounts oil in the air intake from time to time. (obviously not high viscosity motor oil) Or would this probably not help prolong the life of the compressor.

Im thinking im gonna set up a sodastream bottle with a regulator.. they have them at coles for $13.. From what I read they have the same thread as a paintball tank, so finding a reg shouldnt be too hard.
Couple weeks and Ill have my drug trail moneys so on the shopping list are some push to connect fittings,tubing, a sodastream bottle, and a reg..
then I should have a pretty reliable gun

I highly doubt that the thread would be the same. Otherwise everyone would be using them as a cheaper version of a paintball tank.
Having said that there is probably a adapter, which can be bought online.

Yeh i've thought the same thing, you can buy the adapters on eBay for around $25AU, which have pin inside of them to depress the valve of the bottle. They use them for home brew! Im pretty sure the bottles you buy from Coles/woollies are the 100L bottles but the have 40L bottles around to. The only problem is finding a Co2 regulator compact enough top fit on/in the gun, without trying to import a paintball reg. (or you could try to fit a big reg on somewhere or remote mount the bottle ) I would love to make a small fixed inline regulator for co2 . Try to keep it all compact

feed works perfect man.. Gettin another iphone tonight so ill post some pics of it.. its a side feed. I put 6 metal BB's into a beer bottle in milliseconds last night.. it turned the bottle into nothing..

Is it illegal to import a paintball reg? What the crap..
About the adapter with a pin thingo.. dont normal paintball tanks need a pin to open the valve? so if a paintball reg screwed on, it would work perfectly..
these are all just assumptions by the way..

Would be epic to have a compact handgunish setup that could go through around 50 shots per fill of a fridgy compressor.. thats the dream

hey man it think that reg your looking at is a HPA reg. (output of 850psi ?? )

Im only going from what i have seen (since i haven't own a co2 setup yet) but your going to want a reg to pressure down from around 800psi to a little less pressure . also i don't know if your going to want to empty the soda stream bottle before you use it . im guessing the have a pin valve the shuts as you unscrew the bottle but they come filled (around 850psi) which you'll have to get rid of first before you fill it with your fridgy

Yeah I was planning on getting the reg first to let all the co2 out..
then will probably fill it via the reg through the output hose thread... just get an adapter.. that way i can turn it off to disconnect bla bla.. Im thinking the fridgy will will only be happy till around 600psi or so.. someone correct me if its more..

That one looks perfect, I already have a smaller scale gauge of the same design which goes up to around 400psi I think.. will be putting it on there for better fine tuning seeings im only going to be wanting like 100-150psi for airsofting and efficiency..

On a different note, Im working on designs of an onboard rc motor and battery powered pump using the guts of one of those little 12V "300psi" pumps for cars.. That would give me true portability
