I'm sold
Any adverse health effects aside from the nicotine?
I smoke most days, roll-ups (since I'm a tight arse) and one does feel the shortness of breath. It's not that I'm addicted, in the sense I can easily spend a week not smoking without becoming a nervous wrech, but I do enjoy it and having a beer without a cigarette is somehow... wrong.
Anyway, back to the subject of this thread, here's a vintage one I have at home, donated by a friend some years ago because "you like that sort of thing" I won't stand for any lipstick jokes

Tried 'em then? I'm so used to roll-ups (6mm filters - great "non-lethal" airsoft ammo ) that I can't really stand normal cigarettes now, I think I'm more interested in the smoking sensation than the nicotine dosage.POLAND_SPUD wrote:make sure you get liquid that is stronger than what you normally smoke... seriously these things don't feel as strong as analogue cigs...
Would something like this be good value?

Some say they taste better then analogue cigarettes, others hate them

Bah. I have been vaping long enough that I cant even stand the taste of normal cigs anymore. And yes, the "juice" or nicotine liquid comes in many different strengths, so ppl can ween themselves off, but I dont intend to quit and there fore only purchase the HI nicotine fluid.
I have personally introduced the e-cig to many different smokers and done my fair share of converting. 99% of the people who DONT like vaping bought a low quality vaporizer and didnt get the true experience. MALL SOLD VAPORIZERS ARE TRASH!!! purchase one online from a reputable vendor and you wont be disappointed. Since e-cigs are still fairly underground there is a huge market for knockoffs and ppl selling said knockoffs for MAJOR $. Again, PM me for more info or help... or use the links I provided above.

You can't smoke or vape lower strength nicotine and expect it to ween you off. When you smoke a lower nicotine concentration cigarette, your body automatically compensates by inhaling for deeper, and longer. You get the exact same nicotine hit your body is used to. If you have the willpower to inhale for the same amount of time and depth on low strength cigarettes, then you would be able to go cold turkey.Bah. Personally, never smoked, never will. Disgusting habit. But I love lighters. I'll put pictures up later sometime. I'm thinking of pulling apart a knockoff zippo and making a tiny lighter body on my lathe (maybe 10mm round x 10mm high).

Nah, it was sort of a spur-of-the-moment thing. I was driving from Covington to Slidell and must have burned something in the vicinity of a quarter of a pack of cigarettes when I realized it was just getting ridiculous.
So, I stopped at a Winn-Dixie, and made a trash bag with coffee cups, etc. Then I just tossed the rest of my cigarettes, my lighter, and all the other cheap Bics that were in my glovebox in as well, and threw it away.

Everyone in my family, smokes.
26 years ago, I was smoking 3 packs a day.
One day I just woke up and realized that I didn't like the taste in my mouth in the morning. I didn't like the smell all over my clothes and everything else. And most of all, I didn't like the cost. (They had just gone from a dollar a pack to 1.25 a pack.)
I had most of a carton left.
I took one pack out, and put it in my sock drawer. I tossed the rest in the trash.
From that point on, I told myself, "I can have a smoke whenever I want. No one, including myself, can keep me from having one. And there is nothing wrong with it."
But... Every time that I wanted one, I just reminded myself of the reasons I quit.
Couple years later, I finally threw that last pack away.
Never smoked again.

wow thats a success story. im glad im not addicted. i give into temptation way too easily, so trying to give up would be VERY hard i smoke nearly every day. but its pretty easy not too. i only smoke because of the nature of my job.
