Word of warning...don't get a piranha...

A friend of mine had an Australian piranha a while back. Equally bad tempered, but smaller. Probably around 8cm long. It was savage. If you came close to the edge of the tank, it would attack the glass. If the tank was uncovered, and you put your hands over it it would jump up to grab your fingers very quickly. It regularly jumped out of it's tank onto the floor, and lived long enough for her to get home and spend ages trying to get it back in it's tank without being hurt. She got it two boyfriends. It ate both of them. It attacked her cat twice while it was inspecting the tank.

The same thing, nearly 30 centimeters long? Would be a monster.

Crowley, should give you an idea:

There are things I would do to Katy Perry that she wouldn't forget in 30 years time :)

I have lots of that in storage at work, maybe I should start putting things on eBay :)

Hmmmmm....

-Adjustable electronic hotplate w/ magnetic stirrer
-Vacuum pump/vacuum filter funnel + flask
-Test tubes/beakers
-Volumetric flasks/conical flasks
-Filter funnel stands
-Distillation/Fractional distillation rig
-Glass or teflon stirring rods (I found 6 of mine less than a week ago that dad has used to stir paint...FML)
-Glass/teflon tubes

Obviously, large things will be a murder to post...and anything worth much will probably result in me making a lot to send back...which is going to cost in postage again...

I definitely have a hotplate/stirrer in storage that doesn't work but I'm sure any reasonably competent electritian could repair it, I have plenty so couldn't be bothered  as to the glassware, I'll get back to you tomorrow :)

What I'd want in return is more likely to be intricate than large.

Well, show me what you want and I will (might be able to) make it happen :P

I just realized, do your plugs look like this:

Image

Damaged electronics are probably not the best bet. My parents don't trust me with anything that runs off more than a battery. I experiment with high energy chemicals and kinetics, often less than a second away from death or grievous injury...and yet they won't let me rewire myself a fridge compressor..

Any small glassware that isn't overly fragile would be good. Get back to me with what you have and what you want made and we'll sort something out

Wow, that is some weird plug you have there in Australia (yep,it took me a while to find out that thisis is an australian one :P ...)
I 'm sure there are adapters available for almost every kind of plug Jack will send you, to your weird aussi one. So you won't have to fiddle with soldering, what will probably please your parents. :)

Yeah, our post office has adapters...problem is like he said it's not functioning, so any major electrical undertakings could get me in the shit.

If your Dad won't let you doing it, ask HIM to do it for you! :D

...or you will have to find a friend that knows about electrics AND your parents have trust in....

Ah wait, or even better: find one that does definitely not have the trust of your parents, and ask your parents: "Do you really want me to let HIM do it?"
If you are lucky, then they will let you do it or help you find one who can do it for you.

If it's not beyond major repair and I get it I'll just do it. My parents don't know the half of what I do. They understand even less.

They don't understand how I can make some guns with plastic pipe and others with 40mm walls on a 3mm barrel, plus another 100mm of shielding in every direction :P
