As I am getting older and older I didn't really get anything exciting..
However, Christmas gave me the spare time from school and gf to make a piston valve pilot for my piston valved marble gun
Planning to add yet another one to bring the dimentions down enough that it can be effectively piloted by a blowgun.
That concludes my Christmas!

Here in Holland we don't celebrate Christmas with presents.
For that we have "sinterklaas" on the 5th of December.
Actually your Santa claus is a copy of our Sinterklaas.
Dutch immigrants brought it to you

Well, the tradition is from holland.
Saint Nicolaas is born in Myra, Turkey.
He was the bisshop of that town in the 4th century.
In Holland his original name is "sint Nicolaas"
But Sinterklaas sounds better
Here is a photo of him. I guess it's taken around 1950.
In America his miter has changed to a cap.
I believe according to the tradition he has elves as assistants?
Originally they were "zwarte pieten".
There is one on the photo as well. he is standing left to the saint.
They are black people (often painted ) in 16th century Dutch clothing.
I believe the tradition started about the 13th century.
So, I think its pretty sure that Santa claus is imported from Holland
