In regards to mobile phones, I've got no choice but to have at least one, we have no home line, the internet is wireless so it's also a phone.
Hear hear, it was obligatory school reading and at the time I remember being amazed that my peers did not seem to be looking beyond the story.
Who needs a mobile phone anyways. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person on this planet without one.

I feel the same way about facebook. I can't stand people, but occasionally force myself to go to social events in order to ensure that I don't start sitting on a bench shouting at busses before I'm 65  and in that vein, both facebook and a mobile phone are not essential but definitely helpful.
Sonims are great!

Nice anecdote, I'm defintiely tempted...

You are correct. I guess I've had it so long I don't even know how to spell the name anymore.

A quick question, I need a new slot drill for milling aluminium, which would be best, solid carbide or HSS? I read somewhere that a TiAlN coated HSS was good for stopping aluminium 'sticking' to the teeth, does TiN do the same?

Carbide is best as it lasts much longer and has less flex than HSS. If sticking is a problem use coolant or brush on some cutting oil.

Six year old K300i. Still works, with about three or four times the battery life of modern phones and all their power wasting gadgets.

Don't want or need anything better.

"No! I've got a friend who's way better at that."

I've been working on my hybrid, but I need to compare barrel lengths so I don't spend too much on the copper barrel. Has anyone with a mac had any luck downloading HGDT?

Well downloading it is straightforward. However, running it is an entirely different beast on a Mac with a program for Windows.

Maybe you could try WINE?
