Couple of questions,

Firstly, concerning shock pumps, im planing a 6mm single-shot rifle build with a dedicated and permanently attached pump. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular models performance/durability. The price was rite, so I went ahead and ordered it, but if there are any issues I would like to know before I invest the 40+ hours to design/build whats in my head. As it will be a small caliber rifle, the air tank will also be small, so im not concerned with the number of pumps it will take to achieve 300psi.

I would normally advise against this type of pump for two reasons:

- it doesn't have a separately adjustable head that allows independent opening and closing of the schrader stem

- the air line is parallel to the piston, so you cannot rest the pump on a hard surface to make pumping easier.

Since you intend this to be an onboard pump, the above issues are irrelevant, so good choice otherwise, I would recommend this model.

lol I actually considered that one as well. The major deciding factor for my choice was style and size. Its small enough that it can be almost completely encased in wood, and since its gonna be a steampunk themed build, it didnt have "modern" plastic parts that were visually unappealing.

Its gonna be a simple build (the standard QEV setup) for ease of use and dependability, and I have always wanted to integrate both a pump and ammo storage on a pneumatic. I like the idea of only having to grab ONE thing when i wanna go shootin. Also means having less stuff laying around lol, my little "shop" area is in a constant state of HURRICANE AFTERMATH.

funny, I'm planning something similar... but with more shots and MORRRR POWA !

So I discarded the embedded chock pump idea, because of the time it would took to reach some significant volume. I am planning now an embedded multi-stage pump, in the 1000 psi range...

nah, too big... I want it slick and shiny (and machined ) and powerful... comparable to a Girandoni for power... but not on the same design.
