Well I was wondering about the sprinkler valves. I know how to make em work but I don't understand them very well.

So I would like to know, if you squeeze the handle to make the valve open up, can you let go and it will close again? Or does it open up until all the air is gone?

Basically I'm making a "sniper" and I'm brainstorming ideasfor how to do that.

If it does stay open all the way, what about having two sprinkerl valves. The one in the back when you squeeze it lets air into your chamber, then you let go and it closes, then you squeeze the other one and it lets all the air out of the chamber then you repeat.

thanks in advance :)

well when i let go of the trigger my valve does close (but that might bee due to flow issues on my cannon). as for having 2 valves that would be useless, sprinkler valvees are used as firing valves because they open fast, having one to fill the chamber would be overkill. although you could leave thee solinoid in the chamber valve to make it auto fill (if you feel like carring around a bunch of batterys.

as long as the air pressure in the chamber over poweres the power of the spring when the pilot is open, the valve will open, this means MAYBE not all of the air is really gone, but most likely it is

Mine closes after I shoot if I squeeze the blowgun quickly enough. With the strongest gun I have, it has a big enough chamber to get off a 600 fps paintball and 300 fps one in one fill.

After the second shot if I squeeze again it just kind of hisses or does nothing. So 2 shots max. If you want multiple shots, make a large chamber with a bunch of turns and angles so the air can't go as fast.

Why would you do a stupid thing like that. just hook your air compressor to the chamber on a constant supply.
