long range ammo MiniBoy Mark I
Here's a little update.
I've finished a MiniBoy mockup ammo, so tests can be done on the sabot launching without loosing at once and forever the projectile in the sand...
This should make the pain last a bit longer
a bit crude...
with spare fins.
and not very heavy.
And a personal message for JSR:
It's not Friday :tongue3:

Nice! Looks like an impressive projectile in its own right, it will still fly far. Are you making one or several?

I'd appreciate something with better picture quality, the nosecone on the Miniboy seems to have an odd shape, but I think that may be on account of the position of the ziploc bag and the grainy picture.
EXAMS???? When does your schooling (of whatever level) end?

I'll get you that better quality picture tonight (so in about 5-6 hours), I think it's the picture that makes it look funny but I was going to upload some HQ pics anyway.
University runs from March to June and then July to November. I imagine it's different to America because they plan the 4 month break around summer (Dec-Feb here).EXAMS???? When does your schooling (of whatever level) end?
hahahaha.... I'm glad it arrived safely on the other side of the world 8)
But you know guys... You've seen it pretty close already... my macro photography is not that bad... and yes, yes, I swear it is the very same nose
From time to time I still make this weird nightmare... I have an exam, didn't prepare it, I'm late arriving at school, I don't know were the exam room is... there's nobody around to ask...
The whole story of my past school times
And I'm soooo happy when I wake up!

Study first, it's more important. And take the time to familiarize yourself with the artifact... plenty of time before you loose itI have an exam to study for today

"spare parts" lol
I believe the traditional Russian way of exporting arms is as "tractor parts"
Let's see this thing fly!

Just to repeat what solar just said-
You do have at least one metal detector,
Right?
Also some spray paint to mark off known distances prior to launch.
bon voyage; see you in a thousand years, miniboy!
edit: Ha! spare parts. Should have marked it "novetly adult toys"

Nope, I sold my metal detector years ago
I figure the search area is too vast for a lone detector anyway. That's a negative on the spray paint too, I figured I would do it by landmarks and measure using Google Earth...unless there's a better way to measure the distance?
