well i used a watermaster on one of my cannons aand it leaked (but not out of the barrel) so i went in my back yard and dug one up from the ground, that one hasnt leaked at all. so my experience says orbit watermaster sucks (at least the one at homedepot with the solinoid in the center)

Try putting some oil (preferably heavy) on the diaphragm.

It won't neccarily harm the rubber... it depends on the type of rubber, but the rubber in the orbit valves is very oil resistant. I never use jar top valves I just don't trust them to seal. Every valve I have used has been and orbit, and I haven't had any problems with any of them.

First, please don't post twice in a row like that. Use the Edit button to edit your previous post instead of posting twice. The mods (and users, for that matter) don't like it.
Rainbird sprinkler valves work too. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... tnG=Search .
Google is a good thing. Buy stock.
Peace,
Pete Zaria.

I've never had a problem with an orbit watermaster
EDIT: I'm just kidding about digging them up
