It is not seen that as our shopkeeper has spent several trillion dollars upon war in Iraq, he cannot spend them upon exploring space. It is not seen that if he had not had a war to fight, he would, perhaps, have renewed his space programs, or added another Mars rover to the fleet. In short, he would have employed his several trillion dollars in some way, which this war has prevented.

This is exactly what's wrong with Western society - too many non-jobs and too few manufacturing jobs.Technician1002 wrote:Those who produce increase the wealth. Those who redistribute wealth tear down wealth and send production jobs elsewhere. Making everyone pay their fair share is not the same as everyone plowing their own field.
All part of the "pussyfication" of society.
The whole financial crisis doesn't exist, it's quite succintly put here:

Or even better, synthesis of hydrogen from methane and steam so we can somewhat control CO2 production .MrCrowley wrote:Some say methane hydrate could also be a possibility in the futureAs time goes by, oil runs lower and the technology for wind, solar, nuclear etc. gets better...
I did find this though, I was like Whoa...
Wikipedia wrote:One litre of methane clathrate solid would therefore contain, on average, 168 litres of methane gas (at STP).
