This is a must-see episode of the Discovery show " How it's made"
It gives you some tips on how to form a stock but more importantly..a trick to make metal parts fit exactly!
I'll certainly be using some of the neat tricks in my current build I tell ya!
Plus it's a pleasure for the eyes..

Just a MUST SEE..

Thanks Again.

Nope.
No epoxy.
It's a very traditional method of fitting....

I found it very inspiring.
Good to see such craftsmanship these days.
I'll continue my build tonight with this vid in mind...hoping some of it will rub off on me..
I couldn't help fantasising about how cool it would be if you would see this in a movie...and right afterwards see the hero put a hacksaw to it and drop some bad guys..
Muhahaha..

Never fails... 'How it's Made' always nullifies my youtube ADD and forces me to sit still for 10 minutes.
This really was a must-watch if you're interested in making a nice stock at some point. I've tried a similar technique with other insignificant projects but never thought about using it for gunmaking.
Also I did an image search for collectible rifles and this came up. I know JSR must have seen it at some point... there are a ton of them out there

No, that's way too nice. Far more blasphemy points could be had for using an angle grinder or better yet a cutting torchput a hacksaw to it

that was a cool vid, thanks for sharing.
lol that camera rifle actually looks like a good Idea to stabilize you when shooting video. though I think some touring companies might have an issue with bringing that on their tour

YOU UNDERSTAND!!
A big angle grinder and then not even cut it straight..
Although you missed the option of " sculpting" the short design by smacking it repeatedly with a blunt axe...
Whahahaa!!
FEAR MY TORCHED-OFF!!
