Looking for a little advice, I want to fix a front bead on an old H&R Standard (Think a Pardner from 1920 something).

It did have one, but it came out somewhere in the 80-90 years it's been around, attaching it is what I'm not sure of, I was thinking about doing it like a rivet, by flaring one end, but I've no idea how it's done properly.

As an aside, this is damn light, and it kicks quite hard, 30" barrel, not to mention the shells I've got are pretty hot, 1 1/8oz at 1350FPS.

This is just a hole drilled through the muzzle now, there's no sign of brazing. I'm not concerned if it affects the spread a bit, considering that the barrel has a slight bend to the low right, and the state of the bore (this is how it came, I take care of guns).

if it goes into a hole, it may have been a press fit. A bead slightly large can be cooled in LN2 and inserted.
