It bulged the plate, about 2 mm.
OK, some pictures in the first post.

That's not 3mm aluminum, these cans are brass normally, and less than 1mm in lateral, around 1mm in the base. I though 2mm solid aluminum is too much for a 0.25 g be at 7bar.

That's not the plate I was talking about, that's an aluminum can I shot today. I'll have to get back to the city and look for the 'original' plate to make sure.
As for today's can: wall thickness is about 0.5 mm and bottom thickness about 1 mm.
Hmm, strange, did another shot, from 7 m this time at the same can and now it broke the wall and bounced off. I wonder if the first plate was really aluminum, can't wait to get back to the city to check.
Oh well, at least I found out that the space between the ball valve and the T acts as a secondary chamber so I can get multiple shots at airspeed pistol strenght from one fill of the main chamber. Yay!

Actually throught that was the job of that ball valve... If you didn't use it for multishot ability why did you mount it in the first place?Oh well, at least I found out that the space between the ball valve and the T acts as a secondary chamber so I can get multiple shots at airspeed pistol strenght from one fill of the main chamber. Keen to see a bit more on your breech load system. Looking into fashioning up a breech loader of my own in the near future.
3 x qev guns in my arsenal at the mo.
I for one am sick of muzzle loading.
Duz your barrel lock into place or is it floating within the outer tube??
how duz it perform when firing in the breech area, any noticible air leaks e.t.c??

So your air soft pistol works with air, how is the performance against green gas? How many shots do you get from one fill? I was thinking about doing the same but I thought it would give much less shots.

Some updates:
- I found the plate I mentioned in the first post. Bad news, it's not aluminum, it's some kind of soft metal
- I'm now going to try for a different design, along the lines of a Girandoni air rifle. First tests show a decrease in power comparing to the piston valve, not too happy about it.
- In my country you need a gun license to buy .22 lead pellets, so I have to mold some myself before I try the gun with 'real' ammo
- Using a quick connect I am now able to change the barrel, from 6mm airsoft to 5.6mm brake line.
- (LE) Damn! I need to get myself a compressor, 10 bar are not enough!

.25g bbs. Like Airsoft bbs? Not penetrating 2+ mm. They would explode on impact. Maybe a amour peircing hollow tip pellet would

Is it very heavy?I found the plate I mentioned in the first post. Bad news, it's not aluminum, it's some kind of soft metal
Aluminum is about as soft as you're going to get in terms of common metals. Lead and copper are softer but easily distinguished.
It could be sterling silver, in which case I hope it wasn't a dinner plate you're talking about; it was probably worth quite a bit!
