Here is my final electrode that will serve me for tests and later:
here is my new ignition system for tests of ThorJack.
My new box for testing, the right is located the coil and the relay, the small box contains the ignition flash.
Also a 12v battery to power the relay in the other box.
A interuptor start charging the capacitor, the other interuptor and push send 12v to actuate the relay:
I also miniaturized the ignition that will go on Thorjack, I followed the tutorial below:

Hmmm... looks a little... flimsy.Petitlu wrote:Here is my final electrode that will serve me for tests and later
Have you thought of using an actual automotive spark plug?
You can get miniature ones for big R/C engines, chainsaws etc, something like this, very cheaply.

I think it might be 1/8" (guessing from a post made on the first page).
I think spark plugs are perfect for hybrids but there's a reason neither of my two hybrids have them: they're difficult to find in the right thread sizes.
I'm sure I could order one with 1/8" or 1/4" threads off the internet but I've struggled to find affordable NPT/BSP spark plugs online in NZ and I haven't found any in stores. I know they are out there but I got sick of looking.
I could also epoxy them in a galv. fitting but that doesn't really give me much reason to ditch my homemade electrodes.

Hmmm... I could be inclined to make you a custom one if I have time though really, with a 1/8" nipple, bolt and some epoxy you should be able to make one that can go to 40x and beyond.

nice, but not one would use when the spark plug?
I'll watch the threads of spark plug radio controlled car
EDIT :
I bought a connector or 1/8-1/4 BSP like this:
http://www.flowfitonline.com/acatalog/O ... D_174.html
With a tap of 14mm-1mm I remake the thread!
