Nah, the cheaper option just takes longer. I hope it doesn't stick to any postman's hand...Nope, just the cheapest option.. Maybe the sharp stuff looked a bit suspicious

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This is why I love spudfiles
I just received a collection of sharpened HSS bits, what I presume to be sharpened tungsten welding rods, one Canadian cent to help me with my transatlantic plans all framed with an edited picture of me pulled from my facebook page.
Ten points Labtec, cheers!

Hehe, that is looking sick!
Are you sure this isn't going to be another miniboy?
how much does the finished projectile weigh?

Hehe it didn't take that long to makeLabtecpower wrote:Are you sure this isn't going to be another miniboy?
Just over 18 grams, a bit light for a shotgun load but it should be enough. I think I'll make the others with brass bodies and delrin fins though.how much does the finished projectile weigh?

You could probably kill 10 people with one of them skewer style... But we don't discuss that here I mean hell nobody discusses that ANYWHERE!
Looks sick Jack, they better have a launcher that is deserving of such works of art...

These are all for a 12 gauge shotgunLooks sick Jack, they better have a launcher that is deserving of such works of art...
I figured they could do with less improvised rounds...

Way ahead of you there, see attached pic. They're a bit light though, around 0.6 oz.dart guy wrote:jsr, would moulding epoxy around the nails be cheaper?
The idea is that they would act like Frangible Armor Piercing rounds, where they would penetrate a hard layer and break up in the process having a shotgun effect behind it.
If you watch the video they tried lead slugs already, that's not a good idea for penetrating armor - in general you want your projectile to be harder than whatever you're trying to penetrate - although if it's going fast enough even copper will penetrate hardened steel.also i think that you should make a lead bodyed slug for demolition ranch and tell them to blow the livin crap out of the armor plate
