You're talking about a level of technology that's probably going to be very late to the party as compared to feminism... by the time that turns up, society (and hence the "nurture" aspect of personalities) will have changed a lot. We can't accurately guess if the ratio of people who'll go for that will topple anything.

However, imagine a realistic VR engine that would allow you to have sex with any woman (or man, kitten, owl, fax machine, whatever) you wanted, and it would feel as real as it could.

Well, you might be positive enough to hope for a society that doesn't persecute people for sexual behaviours that are no-one's business but their own, but... that's probably further off than the early stages of this technology. We still have one hell of a furore over gay relationships, after all.

I knew starting the discussion was risky but, gorram it, the effects of proto-transhumanism on sexual and gender identity could be interesting - and it didn't actually have to talk about the merits or otherwise of feminism.
However, evidently not interesting enough to avoid making cheap jabs at a point that I'd already said I wasn't willing to discuss for the sake of peace and sanity.

Why did I say that? Because, I can assure you, your chances of making me change my mind on this are were slim even before the insults made me stop listening. You're not the first people I've discussed with. Oh, there have been so many. And what you've got to ask is, what happened to... no, wait, that's from Doctor Who.

Still, the point stands. I've had discussions with hundreds of people, many of whom were really serious critical thinkers with discussion experience that let them pitch their arguments hard. Sure, a few of those people did make me rethink my beliefs. But dozens of people have failed to swing this kind of viewpoint in a way that swayed me - even those I was willing to give ammunition to see if they could actually make me think.

That's why I said I wasn't going to discuss it. No offence, but you two aren't demonstrating more traction in a debate than those who've already failed to make me reconsider a subject I've given as much previous thought and discussion as topics of equality - and I have no plans on giving you any of that aforementioned ammunition; my beliefs are not worth subjecting to scrutiny when the level of discussion is "Lol, Nazis".

You're very unlikely to change my views on feminism. The only thing you're likely to change my opinions of is you and, like I said, I don't think that's something we want.

On another topic, I want to control an audio output from one android phone to another. I can buy a little stereo bluetooth receiver, but I have an excess of android phones. The best phones I can spare isa Galaxy S2, and an S3 to control it.

I also have a couple of pocket PCs and two Windows phones too, but I don't want to use IR.
