Hi everyone,
I have two questions about the Air Force PCP rifles.

1. When the breech is in the closed position, if someone accidentally pulls the bolt/breach too far back it would open the valve therefore firing. Maybe its just me but through all of the pictures and videos I've seen, i haven't seen any safety mechanism for pulling the breech too far back. I know the hammer has to push the breech back to fire the gun but is there a safety/catch?

2. In the videos I've seen of the rifle in action the breech goes back to open the valve and then twists, the bolt/handle flicks back to the unlocked position. How is this possible?

All answers are welcome.
Cheers :)

Takes a considerable amount of force to open the valve against pressure...not going to happen by accident. Somewhere around 170 lbs force to crack the valve @ 2500psi.

Have shot a couple AF rifles....never noticed the breech opening on firing. Straight forward to cock the striker, load a round, then back to close the breech. Handle gets turned slightly and locks the breech closed.
