Hey guys. Is it just me or is PVC in Canada way more expensive in the US? I was at home Depot and it was $55 for a 10' length of 3" schedule 40 PVC, and I decided to look on a US home Depot online and it was $18 USD or I think around $25 CAD for the same thing. Thoughts?

We don't use a lot of pressure rated pvc in my area. I assume that's why it's rare and expensive.
It's not uncommon for the US dollar price of things to be somewhat out of whack with the strict exchange rate. (Particularly depending on local taxes and whether they're shown in the price. In the UK, the vast majority of non-trade stores include all taxes in the list price. I'm lead to believe that's different across much of the US).
In the US, it seems like the current average price of a US gallon of gasoline is ~$2.50 at the pump.
In the UK, the price for a US gallon is the equivalent of ~$5.75.
If you go back to a time before a megatwerp decided to hold and lose a referendum on whether the UK should be part of the EU though, that number would have been a fair bit more. Historically, £1 GBP has long averaged about $1.60 USD, but it tanked after the Brexit vote and at the moment it's down at more like $1.35.

Different materials are popular in different areas. It's supply and demand.
Incidentally, I haven't seen solid-core 3" PVC and up at a Home Depot in at least 8 years... you might want to look at a different merchant... or material.

If you have a Home Despot, you likely have one or more of the following that you could check as well;
Home hardware,
Canadian Tire
Rona
Lowes
Emco
Bartle and Gibson
Also check for local plumbers....they may have some bits and pieces that are long enough for what you need...price could be good.

Even the 25 dollars for a 3" diameter 10' section is a lot.
Go to local plumbing or hardware stores, they're usually cheaper and it helps local business.
