Today I decided to get back in the game, ( thanks for your support JSR!!) hoping it will bring me some joy Using the 2" brass pistonvalve I took off my confetti launcher that was just sitting and some new 63mm pressure rated PVC, a new QEV and blowgun, I ended up with a compact, go anywhere type little chucker.. Nothing fancy. I added a connector to the muzzle to enable a barrel extension if I so desire. Glue is still curing. I still would like to add a barrel support and a remote hose to the blowgun to relocate it..It will be used at around 4 Bar so expect no world records, just good old fun

Oh man if you could see the size of my grin right now, great stuff!
... and that grey "European" pressure-rated PVC is bringing a wave of nostalgia
Is that attachment on the muzzle to allow for a barrel extension?

Yes it is. Quiet shots are optional Hoping to take it with me on my brothers boat some day.. Open water..no spectators.. Old school fun. Brings back memories of his "Chappy" launcher..had a lot of fun with that. I borrowed his idea for the extension. This one is bite-sized in comparison

K.I.S.S...simple one shot deal. Anything that fits becomes a projectile. When it comes to launching this type of thing is more fun. All semi- or full auto stuff..high powered stuff. Technical stuff..In the end it can't beat oldschool

QEVception! You should add a small barrel to the pilot QEV to fire a second projectile at the target

Most I can machine over the Sherline's cross-slide is 1.75" so I'll limit myself to 1 1/2" schedule 40, and as to a valve I'm currently torn between a mechanically locked dump valve or a hammer valve piloted piston valve for tunable efficiency, which is a consideration since I'll probably be pumping manually.Brian the brain wrote:I can't wait to see what you'll come up with.
